It's time for greatness -- not for greed. It's a time for idealism -- not ideology. It is a time not just for compassionate words, but compassionate action. Marian Wright Edelman
Honey pull into the station down the road on the left the price is 5 cents less a gallon there. Sound familiar? Of course it does, let’s face it the average Americans are to busy working two jobs trying to keep up with the times, and raising families to really know what’s going on out there.
All Americans would like to do something constructive for their country and their world. And of course for their children, and their children’s children. Just imagine what kind of a world it would be if we were really free to go out and tackle all the obstacles, we face everyday.
Freedom is to serve, not to be servedThere are alternatives out there, to cope with global warming, pollution. Do we just simply give up? Even our preachers are dangerous, for they keep telling us we are living in the final days. They tell us we all must repent, however, believe me they will remind us to leave our money in the collection box so they can drive their limousines to work.
Don’t get me wrong I have a strong belief in God, that’s why I believe in what John Kennedy once said, “Here on Earth God’s work must truly be our own". I came across this web site of a very conscientious and caring young man by the name of Erik Leipoldt, (A baby boomer of course) who spent half of his life in a wheelchair from an accident. He has always had a concern for social issues, and the environment. He lists many of the alternative means of energy, available to us, and discusses issues such as global warming what we can do to cope, and deal with the problem. I would recommend checking out his website Alternate energy sources for a flourishing future.
