My New Year Resolutions

I quit smoking 10 years ago I don’t drink alcohol, actually at this time in my life I don’t have many bad habits to rid myself of.

Of course, none of us are perfect and we do have faults in our lives. I suppose I could work on improving my code of ethics around people. We are all God’s children and we should respect and love our fellow man or woman for what they are.

Therefore, one of my most profound resolutions for the New Year would be to follow in our Lord’s teachings and love my neighbor as myself.

In addition, to show compassion for those deprived of the simple necessities of life such as food, clean drinking water and adequate shelter. If we take the time to look around us, we will find many troubled souls living amongst us.

Yes turning to God in the New Year would be a very important step to take for without God in our lives we have nothing. However, with God’s help we can overcome all of our troubles, find happiness in our lives, and love in our hearts.

Through his crucifixion, he suffered for us so that spared from persecution we may be here on earth in our mortal lives.

Be content with what you have, for God has said, "Never
will I leave you; never will I forsake you." So say with
confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid."
Hebrews 13:5, 6
