New Beginnings in a New Year

As we journey through another new year, in a new millennium let us as the human race look back at our past and learn from our history what we have accomplished successfully and what we have devastated compulsively.

As a member of the human race, we only have theories of how we all as a people came into existence. However, we now know where we stand as a civilization although we have always been at conflict with one another we are still engaged in wars throughout the world today.

We have evolved through the years from an aggressive form of life to a more refined being. Our history as the human race as far back as we can successfully recall has always been a mystery. i.e., we hardly know ourselves as human beings most of us take life for granted and do not bother to try to make sense of it all.

To live from day to day without asking ourselves what it all means and going along with the flow no mater where it takes us. Our mind is a very complex organ in our lives it can be very dangerous as well for we as the human race have the capacity to destroy the world in a matter of seconds.

We call ourselves a civilized people in today’s world however many of us are uncivilized in our nature. Yes, we as the human race can be very barbaric in our way of life. We must turn all of our hostilities into a passion of love and understanding.

There is by no doubt a God that resides over us. Estranged from him here on earth we are, we must let him into our lives for living without God is living without love for our fellow man. Through God, we find love, understanding, and peace of mind.

We’ve only just begun to live there is a future of hope and prosperity for us all if we heed the call. The world has yet to flourish we are on the dawning of a new day. Peace and love will prevail over hate and ignorance.

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and has made the Lord his hope and confidence. Jeremiah 17:7

Dave Tanguay was born on November 8,1948 in Westbrook, Maine. The 10^th. child of a family of eleven children. Served in Vietnam in the 60s, he became active with the youth movement of that day on completion of military duty. Now retired and living in Florida. (still believes in the young)
