New Year 2012 (Poem)

A new year is approaching - let us handle with care

For in it comes challenges - that we must adhere

New year resolutions - are seldom kept

They are often to hard to hold - and accept

A new year has in it - many changes

The world as we know it - brings about exchanges

To hold onto the positive assets in our lives

These customs we inherit - and give high fives

With the Lord on our side - as we travel far and wide

When we meet with complications - in him we can confide

Grieve not my friend - as the going gets rough

For our Lord expects us - to be quite tough

We mustn’t give up - on our journey to find peace

As we prolong our travels - our goals never cease

Let your conscience be your guide - and your heart be your voice

With love in our lives - we can easily rejoice

As the new year approaches - let our dreams be fulfilled

The world is at our command - to furnish and rebuild
