My favorite person is also my best friend my brother Roland I respect and love a great deal. He is almost 8 years older than I am he was the sixth child in our family.
He quit school when he was 14 and went to work to help support the family. He worked very hard at his job and most of his paycheck went on the needs of the family such as groceries and other family bills.
Roland never really had a life of his own, i.e., he never married and had children of his own. However, he treated everyone with love and respect.
When he worked at a bakery as foreman (working foreman), his boss took him to New York to a horse race where his horse was racing. Roland put $100.00 dollars on his bosses’ horse to win he was a long shot however he came in to win I forget just how much my brother collected but it was in the thousands of dollars.
He gave most of it to another brother of mine who was going on vacation to Hawaii with his wife to celebrate their anniversary.
Yes Roland touched the lives of many anyone who knows him will always have a good word to say about him.
There is a lot of good I can say about my brother Roland however I will make this article short for I believe I got my point across.
