One of my Flaws

We all as human beings are not perfect we all have flaws in our lives, a flaw in either our personalities or simply our physical make-up as human beings living in society as a whole.
On several occasions, many have told me that I’m too quiet I don’t talk enough. Well if I’m talking about something that interest me there’s no shutting me up however informal social talk I’m not good at.
In my junior high school yearbook, voted as the quietest I was. Like the jingle goes for the talking horse Mr. Ed, “people yakked the streets and waste their time a day but Mr. Ed will never speak unless he has something to say.”

Now don’t get me wrong if I’m talking about something that interest me like I say there is no shutting me up, I can talk continuously about something that interest me.
It is in our nature to be who we are but going against our nature to conform to the crowd rather than just be ourselves is not a suitable way to go. I would rather be myself and be different than be someone I am not just to go along with the crowd.
“Sometimes there is a greater lack of communication in facile talking than in silence.” Faith Baldwin

Top-level comments on this article: (4 total)Agree with you 100% - people talk too much about the most ridiculous things and it's a total waste of time, their's as well as mine.
Didn't know the Mr. Ed lyrics, so had to look it up - cute!!!
A horse is a horse, of course, of course,
And no one can talk to a horse of course
That is, of course, unless the horse is the famous Mr. Ed.
Go right to the source and ask the horse
He'll give you the answer that you'll endorse.
He's always on a steady course.
Talk to Mr. Ed.
People yakkity yak a streak and waste your time of day
But Mister Ed will never speak unless he has something to say.
A horse is a horse, of course, of course,
And this one'll talk 'til his voice is hoarse.
You never heard of a talking horse?
Well listen to this.
I am Mister Ed.

You have me mixed up with someone that has a memory - I didn't know the words so I had to look them up.
Actually, everything I remember about anything I could probably stick in a thimble :)
Have a good day,

David, go on being yourself and true. No one can force another to do something against one's will. From reading your articles and comments I know you are a man of few words but that's you. I like that !Please log in to respond to this comment.Thank you HildaPlease log in to respond to this comment.

hi david,
through our correspondence, i know you like to get right to the point, and i also find that refreshing. you may be a man of a few words, but those words are important, and that's what counts.
