Dare to Follow your Dreams

“You will face many defeats in your life, but never let yourself be defeated.” Maya Angelou

Yes as we go through life, we will meet with difficulties along our way. Life will deal us some blows and knock us down as we try to succeed. However we must not let ourselves be defeated as long as we keep trying we will be successful eventually.

The world is at our command and adheres to our wishes. Through unselfish ambitions, if we dream a dream we can make this dream a reality through hard work and an incentive to strive for this goal in our lives.

When a young reporter who boldly asked Mr. Edison if he felt like a failure and if he thought he should just give up by now interviewed Thomas Edison. Perplexed, Edison replied, "Young man, why would I feel like a failure? And why would I ever give up? I now know definitively over 9,000 ways that an electric light bulb will not work. Success is almost in my grasp." And shortly after that, and over 10,000 attempts, Edison invented the light bulb.

Discouragements are a fact of life we will encounter many failures along our route to success however success is evident and will prevail to those whom endure the ups and downs of a rocky journey.

“We were lucky enough to grow up in an environment where there was always much encouragement to children to pursue intellectual interests, to investigate whatever aroused curiosity .” Orville Wright

Dare to follow your dreams for dreams are what life is all about to all those who succeed success came at a cost and many heart wrenching disappointments. To dream the impossible dream is on my agenda. I dream of a world of peace and love this dream will bear fruit and become a reality in time.

Dreams are sometimes the "Working Methods of Life" which others envy, as in the case of Martin Luther King, who was Murdered for sharing his Dream.

My Dream of becoming a Published Writer/Author since the age of 12 has indeed come true with a novel due out this Christmas, and as you have pointed out in your article here, we must endure all discouragements and negatives that are thrown at us day by day.

A very good article, as always with your posts I find very good reading. Thank you for sharing.

Great article, David, thanks. It was good to be reminded of where the truth lies re dreams coming true, and of the fruitlessness of giving up - and how unnecessary it is! I love Maya Angelou. I didn't know that story about Edison, but it's such a good one.
