“When we are dreaming alone it is only a dream. When we are dreaming with others, it is the beginning of reality.” Dom Helder Camara
To share our dreams with others is the way to fulfill them and bring them into fruition. For when we dream, alone it is only a dream but to share our dreams with others is the beginning of our reality.
Reality as we know it in today’s world is the outcome of many heart wrenching ideals and beliefs that took place in our society over two hundred years ago, when our founding fathers laid down the laws we live by today.
Our constitution did not come about in one or two days it took just under 4 months. The Constitutional Convention convened on May 25, 1787 and adopted the proposed Constitution as the version to be sent to the states for ratification on September 17, 1787.
I believe we as a people should make changes in our constitution for we live in a different world today. Our constitution served us well in the days of yesterday however we as a people have evolved from an aggressive nature to a more refined species of life.
Our needs today are to reform our way of life to suit our characters in today’s world. We are living in a more civilized world today than we have in yesterday’s world. True there is still crime in our streets but I believe criminal activity will vanish with our changing times.
Most of our politicians have a hard time to distinguish right from wrong or good from bad. They rely on documents of the past to justify their actions and the actions of others.
We must let our dreams fulfill today for tomorrow, yes dreams of a better tomorrow we all share with one another.
“I have had dreams and I have had nightmares, but I have conquered my nightmares because of my dreams.” Jonas Salk
