Fall is Approaching

“Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.” Albert Camus

The first day of autumn is approaching Sept. 23 to be exact. Autumn or fall is a special time of the year it’s a time when nature is leaving a hot summer and hibernating to a more solitude time in our lives.

Before autumn turns into winter it is a time when mother nature puts out a display of changing colored leaves especially if you live in New England where the changing colored leaves occur some people travel for miles to see such a spectacle.

Of course with autumn comes cooler temperatures and we know that winter will follow with a hard freeze in some parts of the world. However, winter also brings on some exciting events such as skiing and so many other outdoor festivities.

Living down south in Florida as I do and have been for the past 14 years I look forward to cooler temperatures. Of course, autumn and winter bring on these more comfortable temperatures.

Yes, autumn is a time when Mother Nature provides us with a pause in our lives when we stop and are grateful for just being alive and living.

As fall leaves us for the winter approaching us fast we should stop and reflect on our lives as a part of nature i.e., we all have our changing seasons embedded in our lives.

Our birth is like 1-spring reviving us into consciousness, 2- summer as we toil to fulfill our earthly needs, 3-fall as we mature into young adults, 4-winter as our old and tired lives takes place, and our death upon this earth arrives.

Yes the four seasons of nature relating to the four seasons of our lives.
