No More Sailing

“My idea of Hell is to be young again.” Marge Piercy

Some of us reminisce about our youth and find many memorable events that bring us pleasant recollections of the times we had when we were young.

However, being young and naïve to the facts of life can and does bring us many torturous experiences in our lives. Exposed to the elements of our real world can lead us down a treacherous path in our lives.

The circumstances in our lives when we are young may vary from one person to another. Although we may all be similar in our biological state, our mental factors may vary quite considerably.

Yes, the stages we go through in our younger days i.e., going through adolescence for example can be very difficult times in our lives.

I personally do have many enjoyable recollections of my youth however, the frustration dealt to me in my youth I would not want to relive by no means.

When we are young we naturally ask many questions and many of our questions go unanswered. The world seems to be cruel to us and life itself seems unbearable.

However personally speaking I believe growing up today isn’t as bad as it was through previous generations.

For one thing hell itself does not exist anymore the fire has been put out in hell, no one goes there anymore.

We are living in a new era of time for the world is open to us today there is no more sailing (so to speak) the young of today skip over the path taken by their ancestors. For to become a man or woman one would have to be open to the facts of life and the facts of life are different today than they were in the days of yesterday.

“I live in that solitude which is painful in youth, but delicious in the years of maturity.”  Albert Einstein

I love your comment there is no more hell! Well, Dave some people say that living on Earth can be hell so if you can survive living you experienced what hell is all about and the rest is a piece of cake! LOL

Good Article!

Fascinating article. I will have to read your comments about hell over again. I share your belief that hell is not there. However, I am not sure how it was disposed of. This has made me think. Good article.

Christofer
