Election Year 2012

The price of apathy towards public affairs is to be ruled by evil men.” Plato

Come election time there are many seeking seats in our national capital and in our state capitals. The fact is politicians are out after our votes no matter how they get them, winning is what matters to them.

We as citizens have an obligation to become involved in our democratic way of life. However, what these candidates are saying with their rambling speeches to win our vote is mostly all hot air.

To get their message across millions of dollars will leave hands.

If we become apathetic towards public affairs then evil may become victorious yes if we allow evil men and women to rule our lives than we have no one to blame but ourselves.

Most of us are too busy in the real world just earning a living can take up most of our time. Nevertheless, we mustn’t let evil win the battle we must do our best to see our nation move in the right direction.

Election year 2012 is nearing fast we will be bombarded with all sorts of new faces and speeches. Our current president Barrack Obama will of course be seeking out a second term in office. He has accomplished a great deal while in office in spite of what he inherited from the Bush administration.

I believe he should run a second term as our commander in chief he cannot perform miracles however he is on the right track towards recovery. Let us not let evil take over command, our best interest is at hand.

The Democratic Party has always stood for the people’s party. Known to favor the rich and big business are the republicans. We must not let the republicans take control of the white house as they have during the Bush administration. We are still cleaning up their mess.

“We preach the virtues of democracy abroad. We must practice its duties here at home. Voting is the first duty of democracy.” Lyndon B. Johnson

Nicely done. Obama deserves a second chance only because he needs to get it right, and only he can do that.

Hi David Sir! How are you doing? Yet again very nice article...

But I thought most Americans don't like Democrats or Obama? Just heard from few though...not sure what they say...you can better say about that.

Anyway, keep posting your short & sweet style articles...

Regards, Chiradeep
