New Discoveries are made Everyday

“Science cannot be stopped. Man will gather knowledge no matter what the consequences - and we cannot predict what they will be. Science will go on -- whether we are pessimistic, or are optimistic, as I am. I know that great, interesting, and valuable discoveries can be made and will be made... But I know also that still more interesting discoveries will be made that I have not the imagination to describe -- and I am awaiting them, full of curiosity and enthusiasm.” Linus Pauling

Science is indeed the frontier of modern man as we discover more facts about our planet earth and all of the fundamental phenomena relating to our existence as human beings. Yes from creation to life after death science deals with and has answers or tries to answer all of our questions asked on a daily basis.

However, in our lifetime here on earth we as humankind have only scratched the surface of scientific knowledge. There is still a vast amount of discoveries yet to be made here on earth and beyond. We may spend a lifetime in pursuit of unexplained phenomena that engulfs our world.

We will never find answers to all of our questions though for there is still a lot in the scientific world we will never be able to explain. Although as inquisitive young minds continue to search for the answers to the unexplained there will always be new discoveries made.

So let us indulge in the undiscovered phenomena still lingering and waiting to be revealed by us as humans.

The bible tells us that God created man in the image of himself. I do not know what God looks like however I do believe in a higher power. I believe God to be an intelligence all knowing and all loving. Science is searching for God within the realm of reality.

Just who God may be or what he is composed of still is a mystery to modern day scientist. Who created God? How did he come into existence in the first place? These questions perhaps have no answers however; it is in our nature to look for answers.

“Science is the search for truth -- it is not a game in which one tries to beat his opponent, to do harm to others. We need to have the spirit of science in international affairs, to make the conduct of international affairs the effort to find the right solution, the just solution of international problems, not the effort by each nation to get the better of other nations, to do harm to them when it is possible.” Linus Paulin

Beautifully written, David. I think it doesn't matter if no answers to some of the questions on this earth because some things are better off without an answer and one important factor is that, our time is also limited for us to search for that answer in time.

Enjoy your vacation !

It would be wonderful if Pauling's statements could be fully realized. Of course, in the world of Physics, they are going deeper and deeper into the unseen and subatomic levels, which is perhaps where we might find more evidence of the Divine. Good article.
