“You cannot find peace by avoiding life.” Virginia Woolf
How many of us have secluded dwellings in the country where we retreat to find a little peace and quiet in our lives? Yes to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city where we live and work on a daily basis.
What about bringing peace to the city imagine life in the city being more casual and less stressful imagine people taking a closer look at each other and living in a friendly atmosphere.
“To put the world right in order, we must first put the nation in order; to put the nation in order, we must first put the family in order; to put the family in order, we must first cultivate our personal life; we must first set our hearts right.” Confucius
I the author of this article believe we are as the human race living in a new world. The fast pace world of yesterday no longer exists in today’s world. I know I will have many critics who disagree with me on this issue.
However, those of us who remember the turbulent times of the 60s will know what I’m speaking of unless you lived through those days without caring about what was going on in those times. The world has changed tremendously through the past 40 years many have felt the difference.

For lifted from us were the burdens we carried as Christians and our Lord has set us free. Certainly, there is still a lot of unrest in the world however; I believe all the chaos happening in today’s world is all- superficial.
The kingdom of God is within you. Luke 17:21

Very well said. Things are different now, and those who remember those turbulent times (civil rights, watergate, etc.) hopefully realize it. Nicely done, sir. Please log in to respond to this comment.Thank you for commenting MikePlease log in to respond to this comment.
Everything begins and ends with the mind. We need to destroy the mind first to overcome confusion and disharmony. Thank you again. Please log in to respond to this comment.Thank you for commenting DMPlease log in to respond to this comment.
I agree with the quote by Confucius. Everything does begin within ourselves and at home. If we could restore family values it would go a long way in helping to restore peace. Nicely said David. Please log in to respond to this comment.Thank you for commenting Brianna, yes it all begins with us.Please log in to respond to this comment.
I love what you say, David, and that's a great quote by Virginia Woolf. My sense is that the world is still pretty turbulent, but also that there's a much more powerful quest for peace and balance because people are so more aware now than they've ever been before. And that awareness is growing, exponentially, it seems. I love your belief and optimism in the human race. Please log in to respond to this comment.Yes Jennifer there is still a lot of unrest in the world but the times are not as bad as they use to be.Please log in to respond to this comment.
