New Year Resolutions for the Year 2011 (poem)

by David Tanguay
“Be always at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let each new year find you a better man.” Benjamin Franklin
What will my New Year resolutions be?
After I throw out the Christmas tree
Perhaps losing weight - I am a bit plump
With the lost of a few pounds, I’ll be able to broad jump
I do not smoke anymore - I have in the past
That habit I overcame - and lost it at last
I may try a little exercise - my muscles are a bit flab
With a regular workout - I may regain my left jab
To try to improve on SearchWarp - my writing style
I’ll try to bring to my readers - on their face - a smile
Trying to save money should be on everyone’s list
For money is a must - in our lives it does persist
Yes, New Year resolutions are being made throughout the land
How many of us will keep them - it’s hard to say - offhand
Approaching us soon is a New Year - the year twenty eleven
Who knows this year we may find the key - that opens the door to heaven
We may be successful at the start - to make them all come through
But as time rolls on - most of them, - we will fail to pursue
So a happy and prosperous New Year - to one and all of you
May the New Year - make all your dreams come true
“May all your troubles last as long as your New Year's resolutions.”
Joey Adams

Hello David, you have thought of many wishes that we all make every year; save some money, lose some weight, get a bit fitter and rhymed them wonderfully. I know I think of these things at this time, lets hope we all accomplish all of our resolution this year.
