" All good is hard. All evil is easy. Dying, losing, cheating, and mediocrity is easy. Stay away from easy." Scott Alexander
Sometimes living in this crazy world of ours can be a difficult task especially if we try to be righteous with our fellow man. Those we encounter every day in our daily lives may be hard to get along with. It is easier to shun them away from us than to put up with them.
Will Rogers once said, "I never met a man I didn't love" we all as human beings have a story about our lives. If we take the time to understand those whom give us grief, we may find the link that gives us a completely new perspective of this individual.
It's hard I know to be kind and understanding with those individuals who put themselves above the average norm. Who believe they are always right and we must heed to their demands. Perhaps if we are tolerant of their behavior and try to go along with their views we could break through to them.
We must not succumb to evil ways for by being ourselves we find justification in who we are, yes, we mustn't take the easy way out for to do good can be a difficult task to perform and being evil is so much easier.
Our Lord Jesus was all-good this we know to be a fact the devil did exist during his life here on earth. However, the Lord spoke of turning the other cheek and loving our neighbor. He forgave sinners and taught us to do the same.
"When you find peace within yourself, you become the kind of person who can live at peace with others." Peace Pilgrim
The above quote by Peace Pilgrim may have some truth to it however; I found myself to be at peace with the world is to first, have peace in the world. For being at peace with yourself requires peace in our environment.
The souls of men and women when at peace can bring peace to us as well. Being at peace with ourselves requires a mutual arrangement with others. We can feel a troubled soul for a conflict within others can also bring a conflict within ourselves.

David, you are right about it often being hard to love our fellow man. My father once said it was easier to feel sympathy and love for a stranger, harder for someone we know well. And I have learned that he was so right. Please log in to respond to this comment.Thank you for commenting George, your father sounds like a wise man. Please log in to respond to this comment.
Can't we all just live in peace? I guess we're all still looking for the answer to that question. Unfortunately there are those among us who's power and prestige requires that we do not, and that is a shame. Nice article David. Please log in to respond to this comment.Yes David, perhaps we are still looking for that answer. I hope someday it is answered to our satisfaction. Please log in to respond to this comment.
I agree with you David. The problem also arises with you being tolerant, and people taking you for granting and pushing you more backwards to see if you can react or not. It's not an easy journey at all. It's very complicated. Thank you.

David, regarding: " All good is hard. All evil is easy. Dying, losing, cheating, and mediocrity is easy. Stay away from easy." Scott Alexander
- great quote..my dad always said, If doing good was easy, everyone would be doing it...or something like that... I tried instilling that in my kids too,...UNfortunately, a lot of the people in the world today are lazy, therefore little good is actually done - great article...I enjoy your stories... Dave

David, thank you for sharing.I believe it all starts in our heart. The “transmitter” of our heart is 5,000 times stronger than the one of our brains. Please log in to respond to this comment.Yes Walter if we give our hearts to our fellow man rather than our brains perhaps we could succeed.

Your quotes are very wise, David. As to understanding people who always need to be right, I think sometimes (not always) it isn't possible, because some people are wedded to manipulation. I feel that I can respect their right to be who they are, but I can't hang around them. I'll only get hurt. Please log in to respond to this comment.Yes Jennifer sometimes we just have to put up with these people.
