"Education is when you read the fine print. Experience is what you get if you don't." Pete Seeger

Education is a vital part of our lives for everything in society today involves an education. Illiteracy in our way of life here in America is decreasing as time goes by for a child is driven by our curriculum at an early age to receive a formal education.

The following excerpt provided as a courtesy of wikipedia encyclopedia

Education in the United States is mainly provided by the public sector, with control and funding coming from three levels federal, state, and local. Child education is compulsory.

Public education is universally available. School curricula, funding, teaching, employment, and other policies are set through locally elected school boards with jurisdiction over school districts with many directives from state legislatures. School districts are usually separate from other local jurisdictions, with independent officials and budgets. Educational standards and standardized testing decisions are usually made by state governments.

The ages for compulsory education vary by state. It begins from age's five to eight and ends from ages fourteen to eighteen.

Compulsory education requirements can generally be satisfied by educating children in public schools, state-certified private schools, or an approved home school program. In most public and private schools, education is divided into three levels: elementary schools middle schools (sometimes called junior high school), and high school (sometimes referred to as secondary education). In almost all schools at these levels, children are divided by age groups into grades, ranging from kindergarten (followed by first grade) for the youngest children in elementary school, up to twelfth grade, the final year of high school. The exact age range of students in these grade levels varies slightly from area to area.

Post-secondary education, better known as "college" in the United States, is generally governed separately from the elementary and high school system.

Education is important in not only this our country but throughout the world. However once we meet our goal i.e. the career we seek to involve ourselves with whether it be a doctor, lawyer, politician, or what have you. We tend to devote all of our time in this our chosen profession.

Of course this is only natural for involving ourselves with just one chosen profession we learn all there is to know and some about our vocation. Nevertheless, we must not shun away from the rest of humanity for every individual has a story to tell and we must be capable of hearing his or her stories.

Not just accepting them for what profession they involved themselves in but rather looking at them in a humanitarian way.

"We cannot hold a torch to light another's path without brightening our own." Ben Sweetland

Education is universally available maybe, but it's not only the availability that is of concern, it's what is taught in that education. Critical thinking is not taught in our schools, whereas compulsory indoctrination of government and religious acceptance is. It's kind of like the history book, we all know that history is written by the conquerors of that history, not the ones that were conquered. Yet that is the history that is taught, almost to the exclusivity of the other side of the story. Wonderful article.

Article 26 of Universal declaration of United Nationa, states that children have the right to education. Education shall be free, at least at the elementary stage .In compliance, almost all country claim offering K-12 education , but resources are constrained in many underdeveloped and underdeveloped country, including in India. Their education is mere formality. No doubt, quality of United States education is best , so people from many country are coming to it particularly at higher stage.
