We Need Not Be a Picasso

"All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up." Pablo Picasso
As children, everything is new to us not only new but a mystery we must solve. A simple thing as a flower we may study it with enthusiasm. Yes, children indeed are little geniuses for they marvel at the simplest things in life.
To conform to the established rules of the land (country) we have called our home we may loose our artistic qualities we were born and nurtured with for we are accepting what has been handed down to us through previous generations.
The inquisitive qualities in our biological temperament have remained within us, However we must face the realistic world (things as they are) especially if we have a family and children to support.
However, we can still use our artistic abilities in our chosen professions. One does not need to have the talents of a Picasso to be creative in their occupations. A simple task as a shipping clerk can be an art in its own.
Simply put, to do your job right to take on the responsibility of taking an interest in you job. For no matter what kind of work one does they are benefiting their fellow man. In addition, this is what our Lord had in mind when he said love your neighbor as yourself.
To be a part of the human race is only to live harmoniously with our fellow man. Yes whether we are aware of the fact, we are contributing our labor and talents to our fellow man or not we are indeed a part of humanity.

The best advice I think I ever received was to go to work to serve God not to work. That taught me to give my job my all. Thanks for a good article. Please log in to respond to this comment.Yes Linda, when we work we are giving of ourselves. We are truly doing God's work, of course some people must labor hard for money to raise their families. To them working in the real world is a means of survival rather than that of art. Please log in to respond to this comment.
