Twas The Night Before Christmas (Poem)

Twas the night before Christmas
The children awake and acting quite mischievous

Will Santa bring us toys despite all of our faults
For misbehaving all year long delivering assaults

As he makes out his list - will he exclude me in his book
Will he scold me and say I have been a dirty crook

Santa comes but once a year - we are always in his care
Wearing a suit of red - long hair - and a long gray beard

Spreading joy throughout this magical holiday season
I believe he forgives us all - for just this reason

Carrying a huge sack of  goodies for one and for all
He forgives with sincerity - for that's the reason he calls

Santa and his elves work all year round to see no one his left behind
He even pays his respects to the prisoner - who has been confined

As he departs on his sleigh - with all of his seven reindeer
He yells out Merry Christmas to all - including the racketeer

I don't think the Santa you are referring to will forget anyone. Clever poem.
