We’ve Only Just Begun (Poem)

by David Tanguay

The simple things in life, which may keep our souls, uplifted
Traveling through large cities, we may find ourselves as drifters

Stopping to gaze at the many marvels that surround us everyday
We try to find the time to relax a little - and join our friends at play

The way we were - and the way we will always be - by our nature
For through our educational rearing - we developed through nurture

Yes life holds for us its many glorious and triumphant ordeals
Revealing to the world - a union of solid and firm ideals

For through the family of man - all religions are combined
Joining the world with peace and love with all of humankind

For God so loved the world - he gave his only begotten son
From the scriptures of all religions - love is where it all begun

So let us all move forward from this day on in time and space
Let us all begin our journey - and join the human race with grace
