We may live as a proud people here in America for being a part of this country does bring about a sense of pride in all of us. However living day to day in our surroundings we are expected to live within our laws and respect our neighbor for their beliefs and way of life.
What is that something that seems to be out of tune? Those who live by their conscience i.e. those whom are troubled by circumstances in our everyday life such as living conditions of the poor, sick and unfortunate.
Most of us turn the other way when we see those living on the hopeless hungry side of town we pretend we just don't see. An old song by Dean Martin I heard back in the 60s titled "The Glory of Love" rather relates to the mood we can get into when we just cannot make sense of it all. It's an age-old story of the blues.

Dean Martin
That's the story of, that's the glory of love.
You've got to give a little, take a little
And let your poor heart break a little
That's the story of
That's the glory of love.
And let your poor heart break a little
That's the story of
That's the glory of love.
You've got to laugh a little, cry a little
Before the clouds roll by a little
That's the story of
That's the glory of love.
Before the clouds roll by a little
That's the story of
That's the glory of love.
As long as there's the two of us
We've got the world and all its charms
And when the world is through with us
We've got each other's arms.
We've got the world and all its charms
And when the world is through with us
We've got each other's arms.
You've got to win a little, lose a little
And always have the blues a little
That's the story of
That's the glory of love.
And always have the blues a little
That's the story of
That's the glory of love.
(As long as there's the two of us)
We've got the world and all its charms
(And when the world is through with us)
We've got each other's arms.
We've got the world and all its charms
(And when the world is through with us)
We've got each other's arms.
You've got to win a little, lose a little
And always have the blues a little
That's the story of
That's the glory of love...
And always have the blues a little
That's the story of
That's the glory of love...
