"Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly, while bad people will find a way around the laws." Plato
How often do Christians or members of any religion resort to the bible to guide them along in life? Although I am a Christian and I do believe in the Lord as my savior and master, I do not need the bible with its rules and laws to live by, nor do I need man's laws to live under, I allow my conscience to guide me along as I live from day to day.
I'm not saying these people (capitalist) are bad for capitalism is a way of life we as Americans have lived under since the creation of our constitution. We praise our way of life we say we are living as a free people. For the American dream relates to this way of life.
Law Books
Those of us who live by our natural instincts i.e. let our heart, soul and conscience guide us along life with the obstacles we face every day. When the road gets rough if we fall back on the laws embedded in our character we can usually overcome any challenge we face.

Sometimes conscience comes smack up against written law, and usually conscience wins since laws can change (or be amended) and your conscience can't (shouldn't). Nicely done. Please log in to respond to this comment. And very nicely done the way you worded your comment Mike. Please log in to respond to this comment.
I liked this article, but I think conscience is a product of our upbringing. I know people who seem to lack a conscience, and I get the feeling from listening to them that their selfish ways came from the teachings of a parent.Anonymous RexPlease log in to respond to this comment.Well I don't know I believe we (some people) are born with a conscience and some just don't have one. I believe the way we were brought up has little to do with our moral values, I may be wrong. Please log in to respond to this comment.
An interesting article, David.Gandhi referenced the conscience more powerful than that of the human voice. Please log in to respond to this comment.Thank you for commentingPlease log in to respond to this comment.
