Encouragement To Succeed

"One of the most beautiful gifts in the world is the gift of encouragement. When someone encourages you, that person helps you over a threshold you might otherwise never have crossed on your own." John O'Donohue

As we seek out our ambitions in life whether careers or simply chasing a dream, it's good to have encouragement to lift our spirits and give us a boost. Without encouragement, we may loose our drive to follow and succeed.

Look at those who have succeeded in life most of them if not all of them will admit they have had loved ones or friends encouraging and supporting them along the road to success.

Yes, there are those who may have been discouraged to proceed in their dreams but rather found encouragement within themselves. Sometimes a positive attitude can help accomplish a goal we are striving for.

We must first have faith in ourselves for the goals we are reaching for can only be obtained with a true desire to help others or ourselves. We must heed to suggestions from those who believe in us and offer a word of encouragement.

We as human beings were not meant to walk alone for our neighbors are here to help us along. We must listen to what they say for sometimes the simplest suggestion can move us on the road to success.

Of course, there are many types of success stories those who use greed and selfishness to conquer their goals are sometimes encouraged by peers whom fit their own profile. Those who choose to live their lives avariciously will never find happiness and peace of mind.

" Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful." Albert Schweitzer

No sir, not at all. Your skills as a writer is the gift you have, and your sharing it with the world demonstrates the gift you are.

You are so right David. We all need support and encouragement from our friends and family and we need to give our support in return. I am blessed to have a husband and children who support me in everything I do. I'm also blessed to have a good friend who has encouraged me to write. I wouldn't be on SearchWarp if it weren't for him and the faith he has in me.

David,

How right you are. I've been encouraging for some time now as a general approach to getting my point across to my kids, students, peers, etc. I remember giving some compliments of encouragement in my graduate class and people just looked at me. They didn't know what to do because they were so used to criticism. Instead of criticizing to change, how about encouragement. It's amazing what a little sugar and honey can do to someone's life. Thanks so much for the article. Right on!

Loved your article Dave .  I was lucky to have been encouraged in my life and without it I would have been half of what I am.  Thanks for a great article.
