Crime On Our Streets

Crime on our streets has always been a factor in society, crimes usually committed:

Robbery, often called 'mugging', and also includes thefts from victims in the street where property is snatched and the victim is not assaulted.

Crime on the streets of a city may include many other types of offences, for example pickpocketting , the open carrying-on of the illegal drug trades, prostitution in the form of soliciting outside the law, the creation of graffiti and vandalism of public property, and assaults. As a generic term, street crime may include all of these, as well as offences against private property such as the stealing of hubcaps.

Psychology has studied crime and often came to a conclusion that offenders come from broken homes they claim those breaking the law are victims of abuse either at home or in the community. Criminals serving time for misdemeanor crimes are usually visited and consulted by members of the clergy.

There are programs in prisons claiming to rehabilitate the individual by showing them a way of life in the outside world where they may become productive members in society. Although crime has always been with us through the ages I believe, the Lord has a hand in the development of the hardened criminal

The late Johnny Cash sang to prisoners in prisons. One song he sang at San Quentin went like this "San Quentin what good do you think you do, do you think I'll be different when your through?"

Society as we know it with all the corruption in big business, I believe the Lord works through many of these prisoners to fight injustice and evil in our society. There is crime being committed in big business only it is done legally.

Yeah Susan I was watching the news the other night and I seen how people are buying guns to protect them from those who steal. It's a crazy world we live in.

The increase in crime in the corporate world and on our streets is frightening.  I caught a bit of Oprah while at the gym today. The show was about bullying and how it recently led to the suicide of two young boys. Tragic. Where will it end?
It begins in the home when our children are young. Parents need to become more aware of what's going on in their children's lives.

Well Brianna, I know it seems as though it all begins in the home, however once  a child leaves his/her home they are in the real world. I believe society has a great deal of influence on children's behavior.

I always thought crime's major motivation was opportunity, yet you present an interesting take. Nicely done.
