Unitarian Universalism affirms:
"That Creation is too grand, complex, and mysterious to be captured in a narrow creed. That is why we cherish individual freedom of belief. At the same time our convictions lead us to other affirmations . . ." William Schulz
Universalism broadly refers to any religion and theology that believes all persons and creatures are related to God or the divine and will be reconciled to God.
It is a liberal religion that draws inspiration from many of the world's religions and other sources. They believe no one religion has all the answers, but there is wisdom in each of them. They believe in equality and in each person's responsibility to develop his or her own personal faith. They have a long history of social justice activism, including civil rights and equal rights for women. Half of the ministers in their denomination are women. They are welcoming to gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people. There is also a strong environmental aspect to Unitarian Universalism. They believe in living responsibly upon the earth so that future generations may also live.

(from the author) I believe Unitarian Universalism is a religion unlike most religions where this religion focuses on the many different aspects of all religions. Where an emphases on finding the truth through many diverse beliefs and philosophies.
"The care of human life and happiness, and not their destruction, is the first and only object of good government." Thomas Jefferson
