Why God Why?

Innocent people dying in foreign lands over prejudice and hate, why? Where they don't die from bombs and bullets they die from starvation, aids and what have you, again why? Why are some of us rich and others poor? Is wealth a sign of prosperity given to those whom are privileged, is it a gift from God to the so-called chosen few?

Why are we continuously from birth trying to have these questions answered? I believe it is because we are human we may be callused on the outside however our heart and soul cries out from the inside.

No one wants to see harm done to others unless he/she is a sadistic, and psychopathic case. However, we are constantly seeing all of this inhumane behavior going on all over the world. What do we do turn the other way and pretend we just don't see of course there is little we can do to change the world.

Life has always been a journey through the unknown we try to make sense of it all however, we always fail in this quest. We are told to look out for ourselves and to shrug it off. Believing in God isn't enough we must do his work.

We spend millions of dollars in fighting drugs on our streets. Rather than trying to keep kids of drugs why don't we give them something else to get high on like the real God. It takes more than going to church once a week to have close relations with God, it takes a commitment to want to better the world not only for ourselves but for future generations.

Yes, I believe if we try to make a change for the better then God will help us. I'm not one who believes in New Year resolutions however, I intend to make a move in 09. A move with God on my side I am going to get involved in something that I believe will better the world. I'm not trying to do the impossible just trying to make a difference.

You are so right here, David. There is nothing more disheartening than a "prosperity " preacher to me. We had scant mony when I was a kid, were we not blessed? Thanks for a great piece!

Your article, I love it. I ask God Why also, and I know I shouldn't do that, but I can't help it. I am with you David, I am going to to try harder this year to make a change for God, with God and find something he wants me to find that I have been looking for and can't find it, Put it to work for his sake.

Happy New Year

Thank you for commenting Kathy, yes we all want to see change in the world. But we must act to make things change they won't change by themselves.
