The Rise and Fall of President Nixon

President Nixon's role he played as commander in chief during his reign of power to bring peace to the world. In fact, his dream was for a generation of peace this of course he being president during all of the unrest in the youth in those days was a tremendous task and goal to accomplish and reach.
When he first began his term in office, he was rather quite arrogant and egotistical. This is the impression he gave the world in those days. Only he was merely acting out a plot to get the people to turn against him. Yes, he wanted the people to revolt against his administration. The people did revolt against him this is where a revolution was taking place in the country. However, the revolution I speak of was being directed through the media.
All of our colleges and universities were stable there were no more demonstrations on campus. The young were awakening to a new calling.
After the China trip came new relations with Russia and all countries big and small were on the president's agenda. Before the year, 1972 was over there was peace in the world.
Nixon in my opinion was perhaps the greatest president in the history of our country. Although he certainly did not act alone, there were thousands of people involved in this transition. I can say this much with the utmost of certainty, we would not be here today or let's just say our nation and the world would be in one hell of a mess if it wasn't for the brave men and women who contributed so much to a peaceful conversion. Although he resigned in disgrace the Watergate, fiasco was all a bunch of hogwash. President Nixon was not involved in any wrongdoing.
"Watergate" is a general term used to describe a complex web of political scandals between 1972 and 1974. The word specifically refers to the Watergate Hotel in Washington D.C.
Nixon resigns in 1974
Watergate has entered the political lexicon as a term synonymous with corruption and scandal, yet the Watergate Hotel is one of Washington's plushest hotels. Even today, it is home to former Senator Bob Dole and was once the place where Monica Lewinsky laid low. It was here that the Watergate Burglars broke into the Democratic Party's National Committee offices on June 17, 1972. If it had not been for the alert actions of Frank Wills, a security guard, the scandal may never have erupted. The break-in in June of 1972 was necessary and did imply to the security of our nation.

I think it is interesting that you describe Nixon as having a great pesidency. In fact I must agree with you. He did posess a highly advanced perception of both domestic and world politics. It was a tragic end for him but that didn't nullify an otherwise remarkable administration.Rev Michael BrescianiPlease log in to respond to this comment.Thank you for commenting Rev. Yes as I say in my article he didn't start doing anything constructive until the last year of his first term. Please log in to respond to this comment.
