All In All, We Are All Members of The Human Family

As a child growing up in a catholic family and attending a parochial school, we were taught about God not only at home but also in school. I would always picture God as an omnipotent being. An old man with long gray hair and beard, during my first five years of schooling in a parochial school religion was drilled into us by the nuns.

Then we moved in the country where I attended a public school. It was there I was introduced to science. The subject of science really fascinated me it didn't explain creation in a simple religious form; however it made us use our imagination with different theories on creation.

We learned about Darwin's theory of evolution how we supposedly evolved from apes. There was a time in my life when I distanced myself from God (as I've always believed him to be) for science gave a better or should I say a clearer version of creation it gave theories of how the world and life all began.

Some people can live their whole lives without ever philosophizing, i.e. trying to make sense of life where we came from and where we are going. Realist live their lives concerned about what is right before their very eyes.

I suppose it's only natural to live by our natural instincts in fact Darwin's theory claims we are merely evolved animals. Nonetheless, we as creatures with a brain to accomplish what we have through the centuries and never really stopping to ask why? Or how? Some of us simply go with the flow, while others try to make sense of it all.

All in all, we are all members of the human family, I do believe in God and in his son Jesus Christ. However, my beliefs do not stop there; I don't believe there will be a second coming of Christ. (Not in the way the Bible describes it) although I do believe he is in control of this world and is guiding us along.

A few helpful hints on understanding God

Interesting concept David,

I believe that I am a realist to some extent and I do believe in Almighty God and His son Jesus Christ. I however, think there will be a second coming. While God is indeed in control, I think it is up to us to take action upon what we are doing in our daily lives.

God bless you my friend
