Nature and Spring (poem)

by

The daylight hours are getting longer

The smell of spring in the air is becoming stronger

Mother nature commands all of creation to rise in bloom

Giving all animals and humankind some breathing room

The leaves on the trees sprout and unfurl--(amazing)

Birds begin to build their nest, for little ones they will

Be raising.

Wildlife is becoming energetic and productive

Finding food and shelter they are quite constructive

We humans could learn from mother nature's laws

Our world is build primarily on our human flaws

We make our lives so complicated with material pleasures

If we only took the time to discover mother natures hidden treasures

We would discover the mysteries that lie within her soul

This is when we add wisdom to our lives and take control

Of all four seasons God gave us to live by

He chose spring for his son to be crucified and die.

Only to be resurrected on the third day to show us the way

If we take the time and learn from nature, we would not be led astray
