"All in the wonderful game" lyrics from the title song "It's All in the Game" a big hit for Tommy Edwards back in 1958. The song written by Vice President Charles Dawes who served under Calvin Coolidge. Carl Sigmon composed the lyrics in 1951. It was the only # 1 pop single in history to have been co written by a U.S. Vice President.

I have an article on Search Warp titled "Is it all in the game?" I go into a philosophical evaluation of the song i.e. I look at human nature the way we live in society being all part of a game. Especially today with politicians running for office.

We see politicians shaking hands and congratulating their opponent on a win for the seat they were both running for. My question is why not unite in common ground before doing battle with each other while running for office.

I'm presenting the lyrics to the song here, however I believe the song was written to ease the souls of most people who see all the contradiction and confusion occurring in the political arena.

Many a tear has to fall but it's all in the game

All in the wonderful game that we know as love

You have words with him and your future's looking dim

But these things your hearts can rise above

Once in a while he won't call but it's all in the game

Soon he'll be there at your side with a sweet bouquet

And he'll kiss your lips and caress your waiting fingertips

And your heart will fly away

(Soon he'll be there at your side) with a sweet bouquet

Then he'll kiss your lips and caress your waiting fingertips

And your heart will fly away
