It's Trick or Treat Season

Halloween originated under the name of Samhain as a Pagan festival among the Celts of Ireland and Great Britain Irish and Scottish immigrants carried versions of the tradition to North America in the nineteenth century. Other western countries embraced the holiday in the late twentieth century.
The main event for children of modern Halloween in the United States and Canada is trick -or-treating, in which children disguise themselves in costumes and go door-to-door in their neighborhoods, ringing each doorbell and yelling "trick or treat!" to solicit the usual gift of candies, change, or soda pop.
Trick-or-treaters
I remember as a child my trick or treating days. I usually would dress as an Indian brave with war paint on my face. We would go out with large shopping bags and fill them up with candy. Most everybody in our neighborhood would get into the act, as either participants or just admiring the costumes and happily giving out treats.
Today I live on the outskirts of town so I don't get many trick or treaters. However, I have neighbors with very young children who will be at the age of trick or treating soon therefore, I'll get my share of young spooks soon.
