Everybody Loves a Nut

There was a time when very odd, peculiar, abnormal, or just plain foolish people were fun to be around. Many great comedians of the past got their start in show business for the sole reason they were naturally funny or down right crazy and they had a natural ability to make people laugh. . Today people who display peculiar behavior in society are generally considered mentally unbalanced and advised to seek counseling.
Of course today’s world isn’t by any means a world of peaches and cream however the hidden factor behind most of the unrest back then has been brought out into the open. In fact, the charisma detected in these so-called nuts of yesterday is no longer a mystery to be solved. They are no longer in the spotlight their secret has been let out of the bag so to speak.
Back in the mid 60s (1966) to be more exact Johnny Cash released a song titled “Everybody Loves a Nut" In the beginning of this song he portrays the absurdity of a hermit who kept a dead horse in his cave. And in the last stanza as he sings Another Columbia fella told queen Isabella “I don't think the world is flat and now what do you think about that" is a way of depicting the greatness of many of these people of the past who have been labeled as crackpots by society’s standard‘s. Of course, we do live in a different world today, however people will always want and need to laugh occasionally. There are still many naturally gifted comedians in today’s world doing what God intended them to do. This is simply, to give people a release from the realities of our times and offering some cheer in their lives by utilizing the oldest cure know to humankind for emotional depression. "good old fashion laughter"
